The Marlborough Sounds is a fabulous place to visit, a fabulous place to cruise and enjoy the wonderful wines and seafoods of our region.    These helicopter packages add a new dimension  with an exciting and scenically spectacular flight out into the Marlborough Sounds to meet our launches.

Suggested Itinerary from within Marlborough

Depart with Windhawk Helicopters for a 30 minute scenic flight over the Marlborough wine region and out over the Marlborough Sounds.    Take in the stunning scenery of Marlborough on this exhilarating helicopter flight.

Land in the Marlborough Sounds to meet the launch for our scheulded Greenshell Mussel Cruise where we will visit a mussel farm for a tasting of freshly steamed mussels with a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.   At the completion of the cruise you will be transported by road back to your accommodation in Marlborough.  (being a scheduled departure cruise there will be other people on this cruise).

The Nautilus Marlborough in a Day Experience

A day to remember, fine wine starting with a glass of Bubbling Nautilus Cuvee, a wonderful helicopter flight over four Marlborough Nautilus Estate vineyards with commentary from our Winemaker.  The opportunity to have a personalized wine tour through an authentic working winery, where you can ask all the questions you like about wine.  Taste Sauvignon Blanc from the tank, barrel taste our ruby red Pinot Noir.  Our Cellar Door staff will give you a full tasting of all our wines and enjoy a cheese platter.

Enjoy the drive from Marlborough’s stunning wine region to the Marina for lunch at Slip Inn  right on the waterfront.  Join the Greenshell Mussel Cruise and cruise on a luxury launch through the tranquil Marlborough Sounds. Learn from your experience Launch Skipper the history of the Marlborough Sounds and the history of the people who have settled here. Visit a Greenshell Mussel farm and taste a local favourite – freshly steamed Greenshell Mussels.    At the completion of the cruise you will be transported by road back to your accommodation in Marlborough.   (being a scheduled departure cruise there will be other people on this cruise).
